Fall / Winter Style Series
I loooove clothes! What I love even more is a bargain! Welcome to my first blog on fashion and how I make it affordable. Finding good deals was one of my mom's greatest lessons taught to my sisters and I. I haven't quite mastered her ways in all areas, but I will share what I picked up for getting dressed! Hope you enjoy it and are inspired :)
I really enjoyed last week's foggy fall Sunday in Dundee, Oregon. Dundee is a small town tucked inside the Dundee Hills in Oregon's wine country. Although, today was not a day for wine tasting, we spent the day Kiwi berry picking and a leisure walk through Champoeg State Heritage Area.
Even berry picking and leisure walks can be done in style. To keep warm I styled my outfit with a faux fur vest from Forever 21. If I remember correctly, I only paid around $20 for it.
Turtleneck is also Forever 21. Before the start of this year's autumn I had zero turtlenecks! They are trending high this season, so naturally I thought of Forever 21 to find the best deals for trendy pieces.
My necklace is an amber and gold vintage piece that belonged to my mother. She loved amber jewelry because not only is it timeless, but there are health benefits to wearing it! It's true, Google it!
The black high-wasted skinny jeans I bought at Target, on sale for a screaming deal of $13!
My rain boots I ordered online a couple years ago from Ideeli, which I believe is now part of Groupon.
So, there you have it, an entire outfit for under $50 (boots not included in the total).
We wrapped up the day with an evening walk through Champoeg State Heritage Area. The day cooled off quite significantly so I swapped the vest for this cozy sweater jacket. Its pretty thick and multi layered, so its really warm. Its been my favorite purchase this season. I scored this one at Nordstrom Rack on sale for $50. The brand is Democracy-I looked it up and there are some great deals for the brand on Amazon!
