Essential Oils - January Giveaway

My sister and I teamed up to do a Doterra Essential Oil giveaway! We chose 3 of our favorite oils to share with one lucky person. 

 

Lavender 

My personal favorite is Lavender Oil. I love the scent and I love how versatile it is. I use it for my skin, baths, diffusing, and even as a perfume. 

Top uses

  • Sleep Issues - Apply topically to bottoms of feet or diffuse to help with sleep. 
  • Stress, anxiety & teeth grinding - Rub topically over heart and on back of neck or inhale from the palms of your hands. 
  • Focus & concentration - Apply one drop topically (maybe applied with Vetiver essential oil) or diffuse for a better mood. 
  • Sunburns, burns & scars - Use topically on area of concern. 
  • Allergies & hay fever - Take internally with lemon and peppermint in a capsule, or use each in palms and inhale. 
  • Pains & Sprains - Massage topically onto area of discomfort. 
  • Cuts, wounds & blisters - Put topically on wounds to comfort and cleanse. 
  • High blood pressure - Use topically on pulse points and over heart or internally in a capsule. 
  • Migraines & headaches - Inhale aromatically or apply topically on temples and back of neck. 
  • Emotional balance - Use aromatically and topically

Balance: Grounding Blend

Balance is my sister's top pick. It "promotes tranquility while bringing harmony to the mind and body, and balance to the emotions." - Doterra online

Top uses

  • Promote feelings of calmness and tranquility - Apply on the bottom of your feet
  • Hand massage 
  • To ease anxious feelings - Apply to your wrists or neck
  • Create calming, soothing environment - Diffuse 
 

Wild Orange 

We also decided to throw in Wild Orange. I love this one because it smells and tastes delicious. I like to add 1-2 drops to my water in a glass bottle for flavor. 

Top uses

  • Insomnia & Stress - Diffuse or inhale from palms of hand to balance energy & lift mood. 
  • Heartburn & sluggish bowels - Take internally in a capsule with ginger. 
  • Scurvy & colds - Diffuse or apply to pulse points. 
  • Anxiety & Nervousness - Diffuse or apply topically to pulse points. 
  • Menopause - Apply topically to pulse points. 
  • Anxiety & Fear, concentration - Diffuse with peppermint or inhale from palms and hands. 
  • Detox - Use internally in a glass of water or capsule to assist with cleansing. 
  • Cooking - Add one drop to dishes, frosting, and smoothies for a sweet, rich citrus flavor. 
  • Emotional Balance - Use aromatically and topically
