Lisbon's Red Terracotta Rooftop Views
LISBON ROOFTOP VIEWS
THAT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO VISIT PORTUGAL
Before planning our stop in Lisbon I didn’t know much about it’s attractions except for the spectacular views of the city’s orange rooftops. In this post I’ll share the view points and pictures from them. All are free admission except for Sao Jorge Castle, which is totally worth it, especially if you show up in time for a group tour.
São Jorge Castle:
Admission: about $8
Miradoro Das Portas De Sol/ Santa Luiza:
Graça (Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen)/ Senhora do Monte:
Our Airbnb was in the Graca neighborhood, so this was actually the first view we experienced.
Other great Terracotta rooftop views:
Chão do Loureiro - on the way to Sao Jorge Castle
Santo Estêvão - in the middle of Alfama
Penha da França - has view of the Vasco Da Gama Bridge
São Pedro de Alcântara - near the Bairo Alto neighborhood
We used Google maps on our phones to find the viewpoints. We also took directions from locals, waiters, taxi drivers, and tram operators to get around :)
Stay tuned for more posts on Portugal and my day trip to Sintra.
